Abdullah Jamal

Architectural Filmmaker · Dubai

“Translating form, material, and atmosphere into visual experiences that shape perception and elevate value.”

Abdullah Jamal is a Dubai-based architectural filmmaker. He works with architecture firms, interior design studios, and premium brands to produce films and photographs that communicate the character of a space — not just its appearance.

His background is in architecture — graduated from Damascus University in 2017. That training shapes the way he approaches a frame: with attention to structure, light, proportion, and material.

Clients include B8, Art of Living, Takasago, and Porcelanosa.

The Journey

2015

Started as a photographer

Began documenting spaces and cities as a travel and documentary photographer. Developed a working method built around observation, light, and composition.

2017

Architecture degree, Damascus University

Graduated with honors from the Faculty of Architecture. Worked as an architectural designer — reading spaces through structure, proportion, and material before the camera enters.

2020

Transitioned to filmmaking

During the pandemic, shifted focus from designing architecture to filming it. The two disciplines share the same foundation — spatial thinking, intentional composition, attention to light.

Now

Based in Dubai

Working with architecture firms, interior studios, and brand clients across the Gulf. Each project starts with a concept and is built around the specific character of the space.

Precision. Minimalism. Depth.

Precision

Framing, timing, and light are decided deliberately — not adjusted in post.

Minimalism

Less in the frame. More in the image. Removing noise is part of the work.

Depth

The aim is to communicate how a space feels, not only how it looks.
